COMPOSITION
Each actuation delivers:
IPRAVENT Respirator Solution
Each ml contains:
Ipratropium Bromide BP … 250 mcg
- It is a bronchodilator, ( quaternary ammonium compound )
- The bronchodilation following inhalation of ipratropium bromide is induced by local
  drug concentrations at the bronchial smooth muscle and not by systemic.

Indications
- For treatment of reversible bronchospasm associated with chronic obstructive
  pulmonary disease (COPD).
- For treatment of reversible airways obstruction as in acute and chronic asthma.

Dosage and Administration
- The unit dose vials are intended only for inhalation with suitable nebulising devices
Should not be taken orally or administered parenterally.
- The recommended dose of Ipravent respirator solution is to be diluted with
  physiological saline to a final volume of 3-4 m.
- Nebulised and inhaled until the solution is consumed.

Adults (including the elderly) and children 12 years of age
• 250 - 500 micrograms 3 to 4 times daily.

For treatment of acute bronchospasm,
• 500 micrograms.

Children 6 - 12 years of age
• 250 micrograms; up to a total daily dose of 1mg.

Children 0 – 5 years of age (for treatment of acute asthma only)
• 125 – 250 micrograms; up to a total daily dose of 1 mg

Undesirable Effects
• Headache
• Nausea
• dryness of mouth.
• tachycardia
• Palpitations
• visual accommodation disturbances
• urinary retention
